I’m a licensed, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with experience supporting children with a wide range of communication needs- primarily autistic children and AAC users. I currently work in a pediatric hospital setting, where collaboration with families and child-centered care are at the heart of everything I do.

This book was created as an extension of my clinical practice. Noticing the lack of resources that specifically support the ASD population, my goal was to create a tool I would actually be excited to find and implement in speech therapy and share with the families I work with.

Combining speech therapy strategies with my love for art and the ocean, I was excited to write and illustrate this book to make learning engaging and fun.

My hope is that this book is a tool that parents, educators, and clinicians can feel confident in using to support communication in a meaningful way.
